Why is the term bi-lesbian harmful?

Information taken from @the-tired-exclu-lesbian on Facebook

TW for transphobia, violence, etc.,

“Bi lesbian” was coined and invented by a RADFEM and transphobe, who became infamous for illustrated violent pictures of trans women being boiled alive and killed. Known as @rredpeach or redkatherinee.
This label is also incredibly transphobic by trying to group trans (men) individuals and gnc men into lesbianism.

It’s used to further misgender people while invading lesbianism.
Being attracted to men while having a preference for women doesn’t make you a lesbian.
Sapphic, wlw and bisexual cover this perfectly fine, lesbianism does not include men— as bisexual does.
Let’s get into why this term is biphobic, first.

“Bi lesbian” is insinuating bisexuality isn’t inclusive of trans, non-binary and gnc women. Bisexuality has always been inclusive of all genders and gender expressions or lack thereof. Bisexuality is not just cis men and woman attraction. Bisexuality has always included all. Perhaps take up reading the Bisexual Manifesto and listening to actual bisexuals.

This term also erases the boundaries between the bisexual community and the lesbian community. Those before us in the bisexual community fought to be distinguished from the “straight” and “gay” sides they were labeled with depending on their relationship. They fought to be recognized as their own, distinct community within the LGBT community. Default using this term means, erasing both these sexualities cultures and histories.
Let’s get into why it’s lesbophobic too.

Lesbianism has never included men. Lesbianism is the only term we have that explains attraction to women/nb individuals. Placing men in the picture by trying to tac “bi” in front of lesbian leaves us open to harassment. Why? Because it leaves men to believe there is STILL a possibility to romance or sleep with a lesbian. These interactions can turn deadly and harmful, from assault to murder. Which is already a problem in the lesbian community when we reject men. Adding this on top of that, assaults are bound to increase.

You cannot be a lesbian if you have attraction to men. Men are not lesbians and cannot be apart of our community, and never were apart of our definition or culture. Yes, this includes trans men, as they are men. Trying to push that lesbians can be attracted to men, furthermore continues cases of r*pe, and harassment (physical and sexual).
“Bi lesbian” is not a valid term. It is not necessary. Lesbianism has always included non-binary individuals. We don’t need another label to explain lesbianism. Lesbianism is the exclusion of men or male-aligned individuals.
There are labels for you to use that isn’t inherently biphobic, lesbophobic, or transphobic.

Bisexual, for one. That should have been obvious from the start.WLW, (Women Loving Women) is self explanatory.Sapphic. Sapphic is one term that is more than acceptable to use. You have a preference for women, regardless of other attractions.
Using bisexual and sapphic for what you’re trying to bring back is safer.

Using bisexual and sapphic for what you’re trying to bring back is safer.
Using “bisexual lesbian” is harmful. It is dangerous and harmful.

This should be common sense. People look at the term as “inclusive,” but it only brings further harm to people in the community, at the will "comfort". But comfort is not more important than the lives of lesbians.

They sit there and preach that we are awful people. But who’s helping bring harm to individuals in this community by spreading a dangerous term? That was also created by a TERF? The bisexual community fought to be recognized as it’s own community and sexuality, please don't erase their history and culture further. Same with the lesbian history and culture.
